Is the Gospel of John historical?

We occasionally put some apologetic material in this blog. Usually, it is short. This time I have a long article – too long for here – and so should be read in its original site, if the reader is interested. It is of interest to me because the book that i reviewed is by Bishop Spong, a darling of the unbeliever crowd. He writes to discredit the Gospel of John.
