4 Ways God Sustains Us In Our Fatigue

“Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.”

– Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah the Prophet wrote that God “gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29). I have never fainted but I’ve been around a few people that have fainted but maybe these people had a physical reason for fainting. That’s not who Isaiah is writing about but rather those who have grown weary over their walk with God. God can renew their strength like no other…and that includes you who are weary and heavy laden.

When we are living out the Christian faith we often grow weary of doing good, just as the Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Galatia, “let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Gal 6;9), so even though “youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted” (Isaiah 40:30), they don’t stay that way because God will renew their strength so they can “soar on wings like eagles.”
